fonts-sil-charis software package provides smart Unicode font family for Roman or Cyrillic-based writing systems, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-sil-charis
fonts-sil-charis is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-sil-charis package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-sil-charis *
You will get with fonts-sil-charis package name, version, architecture and description in a table
